Radford Weekly Update


Here is your quick round up from the team as to what’s been happening this past week in Radford:

 

Vehicle Crime

 

On Tomson Avenue A VW Golf has had both wing mirrors taken and a Honda motorbike has abeen stolen from Barkers Butts which has been recovered.

 

Five stolen motorbikes have also been recovered. Three from Sadler Road, one found in woodland off Bennetts Road North and the final one was discovered in a car park in the Holbrooks area.

 

Burglaries 

 

Two burglaries have been reported. One on Grangemouth Road where the back door has been tampered with. Jewellery and an iPad was stolen. A burglary has also occurred on Drapers Field, although it is unknown how the suspect(s) entered.   

 

For residents that live in a flat we would encourage you to keep an eye on communal front and back doors and that they are not left open.   Do not buzz people in that you don’t know or let them follow you in.  

 

Patrols

 

Task Force Officers have been patrolling the area.  On Sunday 24th March 2024 a vehicle was stopped off Radford Road.  The vehicle was searched where a quantity of class A and B drugs was found along with an amount of cash.    

 

A male was spotted acting suspiciously off Widdrington Road who appeared to be trying to evade officers. He was stopped and searched and subsequently arrested for possession with intent to supply.

 

Across Holbrooks Radford Sherbourne and Bablake - In the News 

 

A man has been charged after investigating reports of indecent exposures in the Coundon area in the summers of 2022 and 2023. The male is due to appear in Court beginning of April. 

 

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking following a pursuit which concluded on Washbrook Lane. Officers were supported from the National Police Air Service.
