What’s been happening?

Tomorrow (Sunday 21st)  Sikhs will celebrate Vaisakhi by reciting Keertan, which are poems from the divine scriptures. They will also participate in Langar, the sharing of free food. This will include a parade through the streets of Foleshill. This will be a very busy event, in past years thousands of people have came to Coventry to attend the parade.

Whilst this is a family event and people are enjoying themselves, it can also be a time for criminals to commit crime.

Last year we had several reports of people on Foleshill road in the parade having items taken from bags and pockets. We remind people keep safe their belongings and if possible leave hi value items at home. Also make sure all bags and pockets are securely fastened and kept in front of you at all times.

There will be lots of police within the parade should you need any assistance.

A big thank you!

Thank you all for replying to last week’s message with issues you wished to report, they will all be taken on board and The Foleshill Team will be patrolling areas reported in the following weeks.
