Blythe Crime update.


Dear Resident,

Here are the reported crimes between Saturday 27th April – Sunday 5th May 2024.

Burglary / attempt Burglary.

No Burglaries have been reported.

Theft of Motor vehicle.

Between 28/04/24 8.40pm -29/04/24 8.00am a grey 64 plate BMW 320 was stolen without keys from Stanbrook Road Monkspath.

On the 1/05/24 between 10.00pm – 11.00pm a blue 13 plate BMW 3 series was stolen without keys from Burnaston Crescent Monkspath.

 

On going patrols are continuing. Thank you to the residents who are helping Police with their investigations. 

A Beat Surgery was held on Friday 3rd May by St. Alphege NPT AT The Coffee Cloud, 36 Main Street Dickens Heath. Thank you to residents that attended.

A stolen Toyota Yaris was recovered by West Mercia Police after a pursuit ended in Houndsfield Lane, Wythall. The vehicle had been stolen from Frankholmes Drive between 25/04/24 26/04/24.

  • If you are considering installing or upgrading your CCTV, ensure that any system allows you to achieve the following:
  • Any images should be recorded onto a secure system and be held for a minimum of 30 days.

  • Ensure that all shrubs and hedges do NOT encroach the maximum height of 1m and Tree canopies are lifted to 1.8m. This allows for maximum natural surveillance.

  • Ensure that all fences are the same height as smaller fencing abutting higher fencing acts as a potential climbing aid for offenders.

  • Ensure that all garden furniture is stored away in a garden shed along with any tools to avoid aiding offenders in committing burglary.

  • Ensure that Wheelie Bins are not stored near to fences and are chained together to prevent them from being used as climbing aids or storing objects in that may aid an offender to commit a crime.
