Dear Resident, Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the Springfield neighbourhood policing team. What’s been happening Update on burglaries There has been an increase in burglaries which we know has caused some concern within the community. Please consider reviewing your home security and report any suspicious behaviour to us. Officers from the team have been conducting increased patrols during evenings and overnight along with working with our internal and external partners. Please visit our website for further crime prevention advice Crime prevention advice | West Midlands PoliceSuspected arson, Stratford Road Officers from the team were involved in the cordon and road closures in relation to a suspected arson on Stratford Road last week. We appreciate the disruption this caused to local residents and businesses but thank you for your co-operation whilst emergency services were at the scene.Parking Patrols We continue to work jointly with Birmingham City Council parking wardens to enforce parking issues in the area. Our recent areas of focus include Weston Lane, Formans Road and Solihull Road. Future events As well as our weekly Cuppa with a Copper at St. John’s Church every Monday, officers have booked a drop-in session at Sparkhill Leisure Centre on Saturday 25th January between 11:30am – 1pm.
