Team activity News

Dear resident

Hope you are all well and having a good start to your week.

Here’s a quick roundup from your local policing team of some of the work we have been doing over the couple of weeks in the Blakenall/Leamore/Birchills and Beechdale area.

  • X2 stolen vehicles have been found and seized by Blakenall officers in the Essex Street and Forest Lane area of Bloxwich.
  • Community meeting held Birchills & Leamore- Richards House, Burrowes St, Walsall WS2 8NN. This is a meeting for residents ran by residents with local agencies in attendance. This meeting is one of 3 meetings which is ran in partnership with the local police team. We also have resident meetings set up in Blakenall and Beechdale. The meetings will be held every month. All dates and times can be found on Home | West Midlands Police.
  • ASB patrols continue on the bus network, working in partnership with bus companies and the local council. There have been incidents in the Coalpool area of objects being thrown at buses, which has resulted in smashed windows.
  • The Police Crime Commissioner Simon Foster, Chief Superintendent Dolby, Valerie Vaz MP and members of the Council joined our team 07/02/25 on a neighbourhood walkabout, numerous locations were visited across the neighbourhood area including Stephenson Square, Beechdale.
  • We acted upon information provided by Amplius Housing in relation to a suspicious vehicle on Remington Road, Beechdale. The vehicle had been involved in an accident and had been put at the location to keep it off the road, all checks were carried out by the team and no further action was required.
  • Partnership work was carried out with Walsall Housing Group.
