A pedestrian has sadly died following a collision in Wolverhampton. We were called to Birmingham Road, Wolverhampton, at around 1.15pm today, after a car collided with a pedestrian. A man in his 50s was treated at the scene but despite the best efforts of the ambulance service he sadly died. The driver was spoken to by officers at the scene and is helping with our enquiries as we continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the collision. As we continue our investigation we are appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam, or CCTV footage. You can do this by contacting our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) on sciu@westmidlands.police.uk or by calling 101 and quoting log 1593 of 16 February.
