Hello Resident,
Another week (or so) has gone by and your neighbourhood team has been hard at work in and amongst the community to keep you all safe! Here is a recap of what’s been going on. ![]() What's Been Happening? We have been working hard to continue to tackle the local issues raised in the previous weeks. Your local PCSOs have been working hard with partnering agencies to deal with issues of drug use, ASB and various other issues in the proximity of a nearby school. On Wednesday, we teamed up with a lead from Wolverhampton City Council to attend a sweep of the wooded area, to photograph evidence to bring forward to the required agencies in order to fix the issue of people gathering in that area and taking drugs. This was seen as a big positive and a huge step forward in tackling the issue.
A Big Thank-You to… Everyone who turned up to our last-minute community drop in last Friday. It was great to see so many people at such short notice! You raised some new issues, and we also explained what the police have been doing in the background to resolve some of these issues. The Newhampton Arts Centre is somewhere that we regularly do drop-in sessions, so keep an eye out on your emails for any last-minute plans! But we always try to give a few days’ notice for these events.
Look Out For… Our next community drop-in or event we have planned. We try and keep these as consistent and regular as possible! The next immediate drop-in we have planned is on Monday 14th April at the Whitmore Reans Library, WV6 0QW. This takes place from 3:30 pm until 4:30 pm. Immediately following this, if you are unable to make it, is the following day on Tuesday 15th April, where we are attending our “Love Your Community” meeting at the Newhampton Arts Centre, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Aside from these, all future events and plans can be found here!
Next Week… You may see a drop of messages now and again in-between these weekly round-ups, but if you need us urgently please continue to use 101, 999 in an emergency, or visit our website! Until then, thank you for your time reading! Please feel free to share this around, and we will be in touch!
Thank you, and stay safe! Gemma and Alex, Police Community Support Officers | ||||
