Radford Weekly Update

Here is your quick round up from the team as to what’s been happening this past week in Radford:

CRIME

I am pleased to say that no residential burglaries have been reported at the time of writing. Unfortunately there has been reports of vehicle crime.  On DRAPERS FIELDS a Ford Fiesta was broken into by smashing a side window. Headphones and a charger was stolen from within. Please help us by keeping valuables out of sight.

On SANDY LANE a black Nissan Navara has been stolen.  Your local neighbourhood team have been carrying out uniformed patrols in the vicinity to prevent any further offences and also carrying out investigations for both incidents.

Two sheds have also been broken into off SANDY LANE. We do see an increase in shed/ garage burglaries in the warmer weather.  If you haven’t done so already, please security mark your property.  Another thing to consider is Bluetooth trackers which can be put on valuables. These can be purchased on line or at High Street stores and can be monitored via a mobile phone.

PACT

PCSO’s Abbott and Underwood held a PACT Meeting in ALLESLEY. PACT stands for Police and Communities Together which is a regular gathering where local Police and members of the community meet to discuss local issues and priorities.  Watch this space for Radford PACT, we shall of course keep you posted with dates, time, venue etc very soon.

ACROSS HOLBROOKS, RADFORD, SHERBOURNE AND BABLAKE

Thursday the team took part in OPERATION REGROUP which is a day of high intensity local policing.  Both patrols in uniform and plain clothes were carried out around Alvis Retail Park and other shopping areas and to provide reassurance and speak to business owners. We were joined by colleagues from our Roads Policing Team who patrolled vehicle crime hotspots and areas where nuisance bikers have been reported. We know how important road safety and speed reduction is to residents and it is a top priority for us.  To compliment patrols Community Speed Watches were also carried out at a number of locations across the four wards.

If you have any information about crime in your area you can let us know 100% anonymously by contacting CRIMESTOPPERS 0800 555 111
