Update from the Springfield neighbourhood policing team

Dear Resident

Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the Springfield neighbourhood policing team.

What’s been happening

Community Priority. Following our poll on twitter where the community asked that traffic offences were one of our focuses for the month of April, officers have issued 18 tickets for various traffic offences, conducted 3 speeding operations and continued our joint parking operations with civil enforcement officers. This continues to be one of our priorities for the month of May.

Proactive Patrols. Officers from the team have been conducting pro-active foot patrols in recent weeks tackling anti-social behaviour and being visible in the community. The feedback has been positive and we will be continuing these in the coming weeks and months.

Operations. Officers have recently conducted a drugs warrant following community intelligence. We encourage the community to report suspicious activity and intelligence to us so we can act upon it.

Future Events

Cuppa with a Copper We continue to hold our weekly ‘Cuppa with a Copper’ sessions at St. John’s Church every Monday between 10am – 12pm. Please join us for a chat with our local PCSO Evans.

Finally, A big thanks to

South Birmingham Central Masjid for inviting us to hold a drop-in event following Friday prayers this week. We had lots of positive engagement and look forward to holding future events.

Please continue to look out for further updates from the team on our X (formerly twitter) page @springfieldWMP
