Dudley Central Police Community update.

Good Evening.

This is a Police update from Dudley Central Team 2 based in St James' Road Dudley over the last 6 day duties.

During this week our Team comprising of  3 Police Constables and 4 P.C.S.O. have been busy gathering evidence and arresting Shoplifter who have been active in and around the Dudley Area.

We have arrested and charged 3 prolific offenders who have been placed before the Court this week and there will be more to follow next week.

We have also been conducting our normal Patrols and engagements. 

Whilst I have the opportunity I would also like to say a massive thank you to members of the Public who on Monday afternoon alerted Police to a Female that was standing on the Hall Street Bridge in Dudley on the wrong side of the railings over looking the Duncan Edwards duel carriageway.

P.C.S.O. Ajaydeep Mann and myself P.C.S.O. Wright from Dudley Central Team arrived on scene first to find the Female in distress and balancing on a ledge over the Carriageway.

Member of the public had taken hold of the female before Police arrival to stop her from falling and myself and P.C.S.O. Mann then grabbed the Female to secure her whilst we talked to her.

Another Female Response Officer P.C. Darell arrived and also began talking to the Female and after 30 Minutes we persuaded her to climb back over the railings and onto the pavement where she was safe.

She was then handed over to  a Medical Team.

Whilst this was happening the Mother of the Female arrived at the scene and wanted to pass her thank onto everyone who was involved in this incident and the outcome as it could have ended very differently if it was not for the swift action of everyone who played a part.
