Crime updates

Dear residents of LYNDON,

Here are the crime updates for LYNDON between 24th AUGUST-01st AUGUST 2025.

BURGLARY

WICHNOR ROAD- Unknown persons entered the rear of the property via opening a small window, then the larger window. They conducted a search of the kitchen and then left by opening the rear kitchen door. They were unable to gain access to the rest of the house, as the kitchen door was locked.

HOWARD ROAD- Two unknown males gained entry through the property’s side gate and have attempted to tamper with the lock on the door. The casing surrounding the lock has been removed and taken by the unknown males, however lock remained intact and males did not enter the property. Males were disturbed by the occupants and they have left.

VEHICLE CRIME

SUMMERFIELD ROAD-A LEXUS vehicle was stolen by two unknown males. No signs of forced entry to the property, so it is believed the unknown males used equipment to enter the vehicle by keyless means and start the engine. Vehicle was later recovered.

MARCOT ROAD- Unknown female attempted to steal the number plates from a NISSAN vehicle. She was disturbed and left the scene. Nothing was taken.

BERWOOD GROVE- Unknown persons approached a parked, locked and secure KIA CEED vehicle. They entered the vehicle by unknown means and stole it.

ST MARY'S CHURCH HOBS MEADOW Car Park- Unknown persons stole the rear number plate of a vehicle that was parked there.

COLESBOURNE ROAD-Unknown persons dismantled the front bumper from a FORD FIESTA ST LINE, including the front VRM and the small side / turning lights located at the bottom of the bumper.

I/We have been speaking to residents where these offences have occurred and checked CCTV at the locations and we have targeted patrols in the area at key times.

GOOD NEWS

Our colleagues from the Roads Policing Unit joined us on patrol this week tackling speeding and anti-social driving. It was a productive shift with a number of drivers reported for speeding and one car being taken off the road due to not having insurance. Any chance we get to work with other teams to make the roads a safer place is a welcome one.

The team have seized two other vehicles this week, both linked to a number of serious offences in the area and in Birmingham. Taking these off the road and out of the hands of organised criminals causes a significant disruption to their activities.

Please remain vigilant and report anything suspicious in your area by calling 999-emergencies, 101 non-emergencies or online.

Kind Regards,

PC 27570 GILVRAY and PCSO 31795 BEARD.
