Monthly Recap

Good evening,

This is a monthly recap and update message for neighbourhood policing team activity within St Alphege and Blythe.

For the last three months, we have been working hard to address our local priorities.

Our priorities are:

Shop Theft

Serious Youth Violence

Speeding and Anti-Social Driving

Violence and Intimidation Against Women and Girls

You can see the work we do to tackle these priorities here:

https://www.westmidlands.police.uk/area/your-area/west-midlands/solihull/st-alphege-and-blythe/about-us/our-priorities

We want to tackle the issues affecting you and in our local area. We would encourage you to contact us and let us know your concerns so we can adjust our priorities when needed.

We know there is crime occurring in our area which involves motorbikes and mopeds. These are usually stolen, with no registration plate showing, and the riders with covered faces. They may be driving erratically. We need your help to track these groups and would encourage you to report any sightings immediately via calling 999.

We have recently seen an increase of sheds and outbuildings being broken into. Please regularly check your garden and property. Ensure gates and doors are locked and secure. Consider high fencing, CCTV, motion sensor lights, and other security measures. Ensure valuables are not left in view. Report any suspicious activity immediately to your local police.

You can find more information about how to protect your home and property here:

How to report crime or anti-social behaviour:

Option 1: Call 999, if there is an immediate danger to life, or someone is using violence or is threatening to be violent, or a crime is happening right now, like a house burglary or a theft.

Option 2: Call 101 for all other incidents which don't fit into above, and you would prefer to discuss with a person. This includes reporting crime. We now answer around 98% of all our calls within ten seconds.
Option 3: Online
