Here’s a brief snippet of what our Smethwick Neighbourhood Team have been up to this week: What’s been happening Smethwick Town Officers have had a joined partnership day at the new Birmingham Metropolitan University Hospital. Local St Paul PCSO had a visit to West Bromwich Alban to meet with the mangers to talk about The Anti-Social Behaviour in the area. PCSO’S have been patrolling in Birmingham Street and Engaging with the local community around the Greggs store detecting and preventing Anti-Social Behaviour. A Cuppa with a Copper was taken by local St Pauls PCSO this was a good turn out and given advise to a few people on different issues people lift reassured as guidance was given. St Paul PCSO have conducted a canal patrol and have been specking to our local canal walkers in our community and have been looking at which times of the day of evenings will be good to patrols this area. Smethwick Town Officers have patrolled West Smethwick Park and spoken to some members of the community who were taking their morning walks and some who were walking their dogs. School visits this week was Holly Lodge high school College of Science meeting the staff and building bridges between the local High school and the police. Shireland Hall Primary School visited both schools patrolled and meet members of staff and some of the children everyone was happy to see police presence a lot of the parents felt reassured knowing that the police are patrolling in the aera keeping our schools and community safe. Smethwick Town Officers have been patrolling on Cape Hill Hight street talking to residents and business owns to find a better understanding of detecting and preventing Anti-Social Behaviour and to build long term target handing goals to minimize to stopping high street shop thefts. Smethwick Town Officers have been patrolling and visiting our West End Shopping Centre and reassurance was given to the businesspersons. |
