Parents parking on yellow zig zag school road markings

Dear residents of East Park and Bilston,

It has recently been brought to our attention there are a fair number of parents who choose to park their cars during the school run on the yellow zig zag school markings whilst dropping their children off to some of our schools in the area.

One hotspot we've noticed is the Eastfield Primary school. We've recently patrolled this location on two or three occasions and have had to advise a number of people contravening the markings.

First of all I'll say this is totally unacceptable and no one needs me to tell you why they're there as it is so obvious!

Due to the recent breaches we will further patrol the schools, monitor the situation and possibly notify the council enforcement team to work together and issue fines to anyone seen to be parking in the wrong area of the road.

I know most people don't do this and the roads are tight with parking at a premium on the school run but it's our utmost duty to keep the children safe.
