DNO Update 05/12/25 |
||
|
Good morning Elmdon,
Yesterday marked the end of another working set for the LEOS team.
Lots of news to share with you, firstly I am happy to report that no burglaries, robberies or car thefts have been reported to us to have occurred since 30th November. Other offences have occurred in the area and I am sorry for all victims of crime but can celebrate the small wins.
Here is a round up of other News from the LEOS, reported by PCSO Smith
"The team have made a number of arrests this week including two high risk domestic violence suspects who were put behind the door of a cell to safeguard vulnerable victims of crime.
For the first time in 26 years West Midlands Midlands Police were a deployable a mounted unit. Two of our horses took to the streets in Solihull on patrol and to engage with residents who took the time to stop and chat.
The Solihull Local Policing Area has seen an all-out day of action where we drafted in extra support to fill up our cells with the most wanted in the area. Inspector Mark Heard, from Solihull Police, said: "We currently have 10 in custody for a number of offences. "We are continuing our action throughout the day, and we are making it clear that anyone committing crimes will be dealt with. "The enforcement does not stop today. We are actively pursuing offenders everyday and will continue to do so." Our team were happy to take part and help secure some positive results."
Its been a tough week with keeping up with our DNO duties while also needing to support other areas of policing.
A big thank you to Damsonwood nursery and infant school for inviting me along to the Christmas Fayre this week. I was able to engage with the kids, show them the police van and let them know that police officers aren't scary but are here to protect and help them. If there are any other events you would like to send an invite my way, please get in touch.
Further I am now looking for more recruits for the already established and amazing Damson Wood Street Watch. Please reply to this message if you are interested.
Thank you all and as always… If you see my big bearded face, please come and say hello
PC Dan Murray
