Good Morning Resident

Over the past seven days there has been four burglaries and one attempt burglary these offences occurred on Acorn Gardens, Warwards Lane and two on Reservoir Road, the other was on Hubert Road, Offenders stole four laptops and a mobile phone and cash. We have also had four theft from motor vehicles on the following roads, Selly Wick Road, Langleys Road, and Gristhorpe Road offenders have stolen vehicle registration plates, wallets, and alcohol. On Heely Road we had a theft of a blue Ford Fiesta.  Our officers continue to investigate these crime

CRIME PREVENTION ADVICE

·  Please DO NOT leave valuables on display in your home and never leave items in your vehicles.

·  Invest in a full disc steering wheel lock for your vehicle

·  Invest in anti-tamper screws for your vehicles registration plates

·  Make sure your fob has done its job. Check the doors are locked and all windows shut.

·  Invest in anti-snap locks for all your exterior doors to your home

·  DO NOT advertise on social media that you are going away on holiday

·  Use timer switches to plug lamps in, to come on at different times of day and night to show movement in your home

·  Invest in C.C.T.V

·  Property mark all valuables with postcode and a memorable word so if items are stolen and recovered we can return items to you. 

·  Make notes of serial numbers/IMEI numbers any distinguishing marks/logos

·  Please take photos of expensive jewellery so if anything is stolen you can show officers so they can attend stores that buy and sell these items
