Hello All
β Good News from Your Local Policing Team β St Matthew's neighbourhood team have been very proactive these past couple weeks. We as a team were able to locate a cannabis grow on Midland Road, and after lots of intel and preparation, we were able to take down the entire farm recovering over 1,700 cannabis plants worth close to Β£1.7 million street worth. This was an incredible operation and to go with it, one male was arrested on sight during the warrant. In other news St Matthew's have remained proactive in and around the town centre tackling the ASB and retail crime. Officers have conducted a Crime Prevention Advice Surgeries at Boots, Halifax & Asda Store Walsall the staff were very welcoming and was happy to see us, not only that but Officers have arrested 6 offenders for various of offences in the St Matthews area for shoplifting and wanted for recall to prison. We are also continuing our patrols in areas where we are receiving reports of ASB, this includes some of the communal areas at block of flats & the Town centre. High visibility patrols have been conducted regularly by the teams PCSOs particularly during the darker evening/nights. Our PCSO's continue to carry out daily patrols in the town centre providing visibility and reassurance for anyone working in or visiting the Town centre. π Upcoming Police & Community Engagements π St Matthew's team one are currently arranging a coffee morning with some residents at a residential home, this allows us to engage with our communities but to also allow the residents to express their concerns with us, allowing us to reassure and speak to the community about what can or have done to tackle any concerns people may have.
More surgeries are also planned to happen in the town centre at different shops such as boots. these are a good way for the Police to engage with members of public such as shoppers and people who work or are visiting the town centre. π¨ Crime & Safety Updates β What You Need to Know π¨ Updates of a recent event has been stated below to spread awareness of Streetsafe who are a fantastic organisation where people can report anonymously.
