· Always lock all doors and windows when you go out, even if it's for a short time.

· If you have window locks and deadlocks, use them.

· Don’t leave windows open when you go out.

· Use timer switches on lights and radios to give the impression of someone being at home when the house is empty for long periods.

· Fit a house alarm.

· Place keys out of view.

· Never leave a spare key concealed anywhere near the front door.

· When possible, try to keep valuables out of sight from windows.

· Don’t open the door to anyone unless you can identify them.

· Use a UV marker pen to put your housed number and postcode onto your valuables like your, Television, Computers, And any other technology items.
