Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team

Hi everyone, this is our update on what we have been up to this week. 

This week Great Barr and Newton Neighbourhood Team have been carrying out 3 local surgeries which has allowed the local communities to speak with the team about any local concerns and issues.

On 28th January 2026 Hatley Heath Designated Neighbourhood officer dealt with a male for a shop theft and public order which led to the male being charged and remanded.

On 30TH January 2026 Great Barr and Newton Neighbourhood Team collaborated together by making an arrest of a male causing public order, assault and harassment leading in to a charge and being remanded.

On 30th January 2026 Great Barr Designated Neighbourhood officer and the neighbourhood Sergeant and Inspector attended a joint meeting at the Holiday Inn to discuss local issues with different agencies.

On 31st January 2026 Charlemont Designated Neighbourhood Officer and local PCSO have responded to local drug issues at the location by issuing a Community Protection Warning.
