Good Evening, Aldridge Neighbourhood Team have been busy this set of shifts going about our duties. Reassurance patrols have been conducted around central & north Aldridge in relation to reports from local residents of antisocial behaviour. Youths have been knocking doors, ringing doorbells and banging windows, then running away. Although this may seem like just a bit of mischief & low level to some, it can be very unnerving to local residents after dark. We are making enquiries in order to identify the youths involved. Our team attended a PACT meeting (Police And Community Together) in Walsall Wood, where we engaged with partner agencies and local residents around their current concerns. Representatives from Walsall Council - Local Councillors, Community Protection, Walsall Housing Group& North Aldridge Neighbourhood Watch were in attendance. New local priorities were set around concerns raised such as the antisocial behaviour mentioned above, parking concerns, speeding and vehicle crime. Business Watch patrols have been conducted across patch, including the Co-op store on Sutton Road, Orchard Hills area of Pheasey Park Farm. Thefts from the store are being thoroughly investigated by our team. A prolific shoplifter targeting Costcutter on Chester Road, Streetly, has been charged with multiple theft offences. If you have any information with regard to the antisocial behaviour mentioned above or any other concerns, please get in touch with our team. aldridge@westmidlands.police.uk Stay safe & vigilant Aldridge Neighbourhood Police Team |
