Weekly Update from your local Bablake NPT
Dear Members Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.
What’s Been Happening . Burglaries NO Burglaries reported this week 😊
If you have any door or window alarms, attach them to your garage or shed. The noise alone, when activated, would be a deterrent. Always make sure your home is locked and secure before leaving. Let’s not make it easy for the burglar. . Vehicle Crime There have been two reports of Interference with a Motor Vehicle, whereby an offender has tried to enter the parked and secure cars on Redgate Way but has not managed to, so ran away!! Another vehicle had its front bumper stolen while parked up on Platinum Way.
Please do not, if possible, leave valuables in vehicles when they are parked up. This is temptation for the offenders.
You can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com
. In other News
An eagle-eyed resident spotted a motorbike hidden in the bushes in the local park and reported it to us. We have gone along and located the bike. Motorbike found to be on false plates and most likely stolen. Enquiries being made to find the correct details and owners.
A local Housing Association have also told us that there may be a cannabis factory in one of their properties. More information to be gathered and then we will hopefully be getting a warrant from the courts to allow us entry. Update will be given when we know more.
Officers on patrol, have come across a vehicle with the driver sat in the front. When he saw officers, he decided to duck and hide. This only raised our suspicions. When officers have spoken to him and done checks on the vehicle………..The vehicle came back as stolen earlier in the week from Beake Ave, surprise surprise!! Male under arrest.
If you have any information that you think may be useful to us, please tell us. We will act upon it.
Until next week Stay safe everyone. If you have any information about crime in your area you can let us know 100% anonymously by contacting CRIMESTOPPERS 0800 555 111 Get involved. For more crime prevention advice visit: www.west-midlands.police.uk /crime prevention | ||
