Hello Resident,
β Good News from Your Local Policing Team β Our officers have been out on plain clothes again, specifically focusing their attention on the bus interchange, as weβve noticed a slight increase in ASB taking place in the area. From this, our officers have been constantly educating violators of the PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) that is in place, which is an order that allows authorised people, such as the police to; require groups of three or more to leave the area between 6:00PM and 6:00 AM, if we have reason to believe that anyone in that group is causing is or likely to cause ASB, require a person to take off a face covering if it hides or partially hides their identify, and where there is reason to believe that they are causing or likely to cause ASB, and to stop people from using E-bikes, E-scooters, motorbikes, or quad bikes in the area. For more information, PSPO guidance can be found here: Chelmsley Wood Public Space Protection Order | Antisocial behaviour | Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council On a similar note, the team will be conducting an off-road bike operation in the coming future to address the ongoing issue with ASB concerning the illegal use of off-road bikes, mopeds, and motorbikes β please do not worry if you see extra officers out in the coming future, as this is for your safety.
