Dear Resident,
Neighbourhood Weekly Update What has the team been doing? Officers on the Bartley Green neighbourhood team attended Holloway Hall on Monday for our monthly ‘Cuppa with a Copper’. Officers have been to Birmingham Newman University this week. We have offered free bike marking for those wanting to register their bicycles on the national database Bike Register. This gives you an account and a unique code for your bike. If it is stolen, we should be able trace it and return it to its rightful owner. We know that parking is an issue around the University, so we have advised students, liaised with staff and security and have issued tickets on Brett Drive for obstruction of the footpath. We will continue to try to resolve this problem. We also attended the University’s 5th annual community Iftar as part of the Ramadan activities on campus. We currently have 1147 members signed up to WMnow for the Bartley Green area which is great news as this has increased significantly.
Upcoming event’s If you need any advice or support, why not pop along to one of the next coffee mornings listed below
Crime over the past week We have had reports of anti social behaviour in a few areas of Bartley Green so officers will be targeting those areas in order to investigate and take appropriate action. There have been two vehicles broken into over the past week where items have been stolen. The roads where this happened are Bottetourt Road and Jiggins Lane. Vehicle crime prevention and other advice can be found on the West Midlands Police website or the link below should take you there. Crime prevention advice | West Midlands Police
