Here is a quick round up from me and the Longbridge Team

Our Priorities

Anti-social behaviour, shop theft and drugs around the Longbridge retail and South & City College area. Concerns highlighted to local officers and from call data received to WMP with incidents to this locality.

We are experiencing an increase in robbery offences in Longbridge. Recent offences from Mid-October have been around the Rea Valley Route which runs from Arden Road, Frankley to Longbridge Retail Park.

A number of concerns reported of speeding and poor driving across the Longbridge area, There have also been reports of ASB on car parks around The Great Park.

What’s Been Happening?

Due to complaints around youths gathering and smoking drugs within the Longbridge Retail Park, officers have carried out searches on these youths, this demonstrates our zero tolerance towards drug use and anti-social behaviour.

We have conducted a Knife Sweep around the Longbridge Retail Park and recovered a screwdriver hidden underneath the Austin Way Bridge. We continue to be vigilant in keeping members of the public safe.

We carried out our early morning school patrols as children returned after their half term week and it was great to say hello to everyone as they walked to school.

We aware of an incident involving a Colmers Secondary School pupil, and we have increased our presence with visible patrols along the River Rea Route to provide reassurance to both pupils and parents.
