We are investigating after a man was found with serious injuries near to the junction of St Marys Road and Bearwood Road in Smethwick.

We were called to reports of a stabbing at around 1.45am today.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened.
