Weekly Update from your local Babalake NPT
Dear Members Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.
What’s Been Happening . Burglaries There has been one report of a house burglary in the past week which happened on Wickham Close.
If you have any door or window alarms, attach them to your garage or shed. The noise alone, when activated, would be a deterrent. Always make sure your home is locked and secure before leaving. Let’s not make it easy for the burglar.
. Vehicle Crime There have been two reports of vehicles being stolen this past week. These have happened on Flynt Ave and Swallowdean Road.
If you have keyless entry cars, try and store your keys in an RFID pouch. This prevents the signal being picked up and allowing entry to the vehicle. Please do not, if possible, leave valuables in vehicles when they are parked up. This is temptation for the offenders.
You can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com
. In other News While officers have been out on patrol, they have had reason to stop a vehicle. Upon searching it, driver has been found in possession of Class B drugs. Another one found doing the same a few days later!!! Both persons being dealt with appropriately. 😊
Officers have been proactively searching for a prolific offender and found him 😊. Person has been charged with Theft from Motor vehicles, Going Equipped and Handling Stolen Goods. Good result.
We also held a PACT meeting at the Allesley Village Hall last Wednesday. We hold these meetings on a regular basis. If you have any questions, please attend and we would be happy to assist. The next one on the Bablake ward will be in August, date and time to be confirmed, but others will be held in neighbouring wards, which you are also welcome to attend.
Until next week Stay safe everyone.
