Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team |
24th April 2026 Good evening Bordesley Green Residents,
Welcome to the Weekly Roundup. A summary of what your local Neighbourhood officers have been up to over the last 6 days. #endofsix. Firstly, we started the set by ticketing vehicles on Dora Road for double parking. Whilst doing so, we came across a suspicious vehicle. Upon further inspection, officers located several boxes of nitrous oxide. The drugs were seized as was the vehicle. A great result for Sunday morning. A reminder: Double parking prevents emergency vehicles from getting to someone who could be in a life-or-death situation. Please Park responsibly. PC Sutheran conducted a weapons sweep in Digby Park and officers removed approx. 60 cannisters of nitrous oxide from the grounds. PC Stringer completed a school input at Bordesley Green Primary School. The session was focused on Stranger Danger and Road Safety! As usual, officers checked in at some of our regular ASB hotspots on patch and completed relevant enquiries with partner agencies to address the issues. PC Johnson and PC Eaton continued to 2 drop-in sessions at Saltley Wellbeing Centre through the last 6 days. It is always great to see familiar faces and meet new people from Bordesley Green and surrounding areas. We often have Crime Prevention bits to give out so keep an eye out for our next session! On Thursday PC Johnson and PC Eaton completed a surgery at ASDA. Thank you to those that popped over to say hi and voiced their concerns. In addition, PC Mohamud and PC Cooper spent some time at Heartlands Hospital this week. A few stop searches were conducted and CPW’s issued in relation to ASB at the location. #OPNEXO. Lastly, PC Sutheran met with MP Liam Byrne and councillor Shafique Shah on Yardley Green Road on Friday to discuss ongoing issues in the area. A meeting was then held to continue the discussions.
