Dear Resident, Blythe Crime update Friday 17th April β Saturday 25th April 2026.
No Burglaries or attempted burglaries have been reported. Theft of motor vehicle. 18/04/26 at 11pm a green Land Rover Defender TDI 90, with a cream roof was stolen without keys from Braggs Farm Lane. The vehicle turned left and headed towards Lady Lane. 22/04/26 at 01.20am a white Ford Transit Van was stolen without keys. The vehicle was parked behind a locked gate on Houndsfield Lane Tidbury Green. Theft from motor vehicle. Between 18/04/26 6.30pm β 19/04/26 4.15pm a Ford Transit Van parked on Tythe Barn Lane was broken into and tools were stolen. Please note. The thefts of Nissan Qashqai and Nissan Dukes are increasing around the West Midlands area. Please fit a steering lock. A tracking device may help locate the vehicle when fitted. Registration plates have been unscrewed or pulled off vehicles around Solihull. Please replace standard Registration plate screws, fixing pads, with anti-tamper screws fixings available from motor factors or online. Please make sure your sheds, garages side gates are locked. Move your wheelie bins inside your property away from any side gate entry. Please donβt leave your property in darkness, leave a light on. Ongoing patrols are continuing. Thank you to the residents who are helping Police with their investigations. If you see a vehicle in your area that you donβt recognise, parked up, please contact Police on 101 or use the West Midlands Police web site to log it. The location of new vehicle deposition sites are of interest to us.
Good News. 24/04/26. Thank you to the residents of Cheswick Green who contacted Police about a suspicious Mercedes vehicle that had been parked up on Spinney Drive. The vehicle had been stolen earlier that morning and was recovered. Thank you to Dickens Heath Street Watch for their regular patrols. Keeping our community safer. Beat Surgery 20/04/26. Thank you to Blythe Rose Dementia care home for their hospitality. Beat Surgery 22/04/26. Thank you to Ambleside Garden Centre and restaurant for their hospitality. Please make sure your vehicles are locked. Other parts of Solihull are being hit with theft from unlocked vehicles. Ensure that all garden furniture is stored away in a garden shed along with any tools to avoid aiding offenders in committing burglary. Ensure that Wheelie Bins are not stored near to fences and are chained together to prevent them from being used as climbing aids or storing objects in that may aid an offender to commit a crime.
