CRIME PREVENTION

Good Afternoon,

With the warmer months coming this increases opportunistic crimes like burglary.

Here are some handy tips to try and keep your home secure.

Please keep doors and windows closed when leaving your property even when inside and not using a room,  either lock it or use lockable window restrictors which can prevent access. 

If you have a house alarm please use it and switch on outside lights. 

Keep laptops , phones and other valuables  out of sight from doors and windows.

When you are out keep a light on inside or buy a timer switch this can operate lights or a radio giving burglars the impression somebody is home. 

Lock away ladders , tools and bins if possible to prevent them from being used to assess the home and please put a padlock on your shed/ garage to protect property inside.

If you are going on holiday avoid posting about your trip until you return to prevent publicising an empty home.
