Good Afternoon, With the warmer months coming, this can increase opportunistic crimes like burglaries. Here are some handy tips to try and keep your home secure, Keeping doors and windows closed and locked when leaving your property. If you are inside and not using a room, close windows or use lockable window restrictors to prevent access. If you have a house alarm please switch it on when your leave the house and go to sleep. Keep valuables such as laptops, phones and jewellery out of sight, from all doors and windows inside your home. When you are out, keep a light or lamp on inside or get a timer switch which can operate lights or a radio, giving burglars the impression somebody is home. This can deter opportunist burglar's. Please always lock away ladders, tools and bins if possible, to prevent them from being used to assess your home and please put a padlock on your sheds and garages to protect property inside.
