Hi Resident
Today marks the start of a new chapter for the Soho Road and Handsworth Triangle as Operation Fearless officially arrives. A dedicated team of around 20 officers has got to work today to tackle the crimes that matter the most to people living in the busy area surrounding the landmark Birmingham road.
They’ll be working alongside partners from trading standards, housing, the Soho Road Business improvement District (BID), West Midlands Fire Service, Immigration, HMRC, the Gambling Commission, and the Community Safety Partnership from the local authority to make the areas safer and more welcoming.
Fearless has 80 officers will be working on a high-profile day of action with partners. It will include: Drugs dogs being deployed to sniff out dealers Trading standards checks on the sale of counterfeit and illegal goods The Roads Policing Unit carrying out ANPR checks in the area to target uninsured drivers and criminals using the road The Mounted unit on patrol Immigration and fire safety checks.
Fearless has a proven track record of success as they listen to and act on the concerns of people and partners wherever they work, to build intelligence and target those who cause the most harm to the community. | ||
