Dear residents this weeks round up from Foleshill Neighbourhood Police Team
Here is a roundup of what the Foleshill Neighbourhood team officers have been doing this week.
OUR Priorities
Our priorities are now business crime; this is an issue all over the Northeast and officers are proactively patrolling the affected areas. We have officers in plain clothes as well as in hi visibility uniform.
Officers are carrying out dedicated retail crime patrols and plain clothes operations to provide reassurance to shop keepers, deter anti-social behaviour and address concerns raised by the community. Alongside these the dedicated retail crime patrols are focusing on supporting local shops, tackling shop theft and working closely with shop staff to prevent repeat offences.
IN OTHER NEWS
This week officers from the Foleshill neighbourhood team and the priority crime team were joined by officers from trading standers. This was a large multi-agency operation that made up OPP STANCE.
Opp stance saw officers visiting retail premises across the city. One shop officers had a pre signed warrant from the courts, and another three shops were visited after community intelligence. Officers temporary closed two shops whilst enquiries were made into products being sold.
As a result of these visits 2 persons were arrested for possession with intent to supply, 148 small bags of cannabis were seized. One male was arrested for immigration. Many products were seized including alcohol, cigarettes and counterfeit toys.
A really good result for all involved. More multi agency operations will be planned and executed soon
