Neighbourhood Update Hello Resident, I hope you are doing well. It’s PCSO Priest here with the weekly Neighbourhood update.
What has our team been doing? Officers of the Bartley Green Neighbourhood team have attended Milebrook Hall for the Cuppa with a Coppa Community event, where our officers attend and spoke to members about the public with any concerns what they had. Allowing our officers to give the necessary advice to help address their concerns. Officers of the Bartley Green Neighbourhood team have also conducted a Street watch walk with one of our Street watch groups, where we have gone out around the area patrolling and speaking to people about what we do, why we do it and what we can help with. Helping to give people some reassurance by seeing us patrolling the local area. Our Bartley Green Neighbourhood team have also done a bike marking event at Woodgate Valley Car Park, where we offered a free of charge service of marking and registering people’s bikes onto the Bike Marking systems, helping to add additional security to people’s bikes. Please read below for our next bike marking event.

What’s been occurring in Bartley Green Since the last WMNOW message, we have received two thefts from a motor vehicle within the area of Bartley Green. We advise you to take out any valuables such as your wallets or bags etc, to limit the amount of lost property you may lose. We also advise you to take out any plastic carrier bags from your vehicle, as offenders will think there is something of value within the bag and will attempt to steal it. Since the last WMNOW message, we have received three reports of criminal damage to a property. We advise you to install CCTV cameras as this can help record any offences being committed what can help officers to be able to identify the offender. We also advise that you install double glazed windows as these are stronger than regular single glazed windows, reducing the cost of the damage made to your property.
Additional Information We encourage residents to register their home/business CCTV and doorbell cameras, as this helps us to solve crimes and get a positive outcome, as your CCTV cameras can provide us the appropriate footage what captures the crime in question. This helps us solves crimes but also helps to keep your community safer. Use the link below to register your CCTV cameras by putting in the relevant details what the West Midlands Police website asks of you CCTV Registry | West Midlands Police As of this moment we currently have 1002 members signed up to Bartley Green on wmnow. If you know someone who may have an interest in joining, then please share them this links below, so that they can fill out the boxes the websites ask of them. We are still experiencing an increase of demand from across the area over the last few weeks, with more people calling and asking for help. Our staff work extremely hard to answer and respond to your calls and live chats. But due to the high demand it can cause callers to have to wait longer than they should, what is something neither of us want at all. We prioritize your enquires/calls based on how urgent they are, but we always appreciate that you want help as soon as possible.
In Non-emergencies circumstances, we want you to get in contact with us through the live web chat, or the Non-emergency telephone 101. If your circumstances are emergencies, then please call 999. Bartley Green Neighbourhood Team. | ||
