Dear Resident, Blythe Crime update from Saturday 23rd May โ Sunday 31st May 2026. Burglary. 30/05/26 7.08pm Creynolds Lane. A group of nine youths, girls and boys have broken the front door to a mobile home situated at the bottom of the victims garden. Theft of Motor vehicle. 27/05/26 10.30pm. A black Land Rover Defender 25 plate was stolen without keys from Tythe Barn Lane, Dickens Heath. The vehicle was located and recovered later in Shirley. 22/05/26. between 8.30pm - 10.30pm a black Seat Ibiza was stolen without keys from the small car park off Wood Lane, by The Engine House, Earlswood Lakes. Attempted Theft of a motorcycle. 29/05/26. 12.45pm. Four unknown offenders on two off road motorcycles attempted to steal a BMW motorcycle from Listers Land Rover, Stratford Road, Monkspath. They were disturbed and rode off. Robbery. 27/05/26. 1.38pm. The victim was walking through Hillfield Park Nature Reserve. A youth on a bicycle approached her and pulled a Tote bag from her. Two mobile phones were stolen from it. The Tote bag was located in the park and returned to the victim. Beat Surgeries. The next two Beat Surgeries are at The Blythe Rose Dementia Care Home, Wood View Rise, Solihull B90 8DQ on the 4/05/26 from 10am -11am and at The Shirley Golf Club, Stratford Road B90 4EW on the 8/05/26 between 1pm -2pm. All welcome to discuss security and any issues in the area. Thank you to Dickens Heath Street Watch and Cheswick Green Street Watch for their regular patrols. Keeping our community safer. Please note. The thefts of Toyota Hybrids are increasing around the West Midlands area. Please fit a steering lock. A tracking device may help locate the vehicle when fitted. Registration plates have been unscrewed or pulled off vehicles around Solihull. Please replace standard Registration plate screws, fixing pads, with anti-tamper screws fixings available from motor factors or online. Please make sure your sheds, garages side gates are locked. Move your wheelie bins inside your property away from any side gate entry. Please donโt leave your property in darkness, leave a light on. Ongoing patrols are continuing. Thank you to the residents who are helping Police with their investigations. If you see a vehicle in your area that you donโt recognise, parked up, please contact Police on 101 or use the West Midlands Police web site to log it. The location of new vehicle deposition sites are of interest to us. OBERVATIONS. If you see residents leaving their property on an unregistered scrambler moto cross petrol or electric motorbikes please email me or report it anonymously on Crime Stoppers on 0800 555111 as they are riding through local parks and Solihull Town Centre.
Please make sure your vehicles are locked. Solihull are being hit with theft from unlocked vehicles. Ensure that all garden furniture is stored away in a garden shed along with any tools to avoid aiding offenders in committing burglary. Ensure that Wheelie Bins are not stored near to fences and are chained together to prevent them from being used as climbing aids or storing objects in that may aid an offender to commit a crime.
