Blythe Crime update from Friday 19th June – Saturday 27th June 2026.

Good afternoon.

No Burglaries, attempted burglaries, theft of motor vehicles or attempted theft from motor vehicles have been reported.

Beat Surgeries. 22/06/26. Halies Café Monkspath. 23/06/26 Morton’s Dickens Heath. Thank you to the venues for hosting the surgeries and to the residents who attended them.

Street Watch. Thank you to Dickens Heath Street Watch for their patrols.

A BMW was seized by Blythe Officers on the 23/06/26 from Dickens Heath, for being untaxed.

Warm weather. Please secure your property and vehicles before leaving them.

Please note. The thefts of Toyota Hybrids and new Range Rovers are increasing around the West Midlands area. Please fit a steering lock. A tracking device may help locate the vehicle when fitted.

Registration plates have been unscrewed or pulled off vehicles around Solihull. Please replace standard Registration plate screws, fixing pads, with anti-tamper screws fixings available from motor factors or online.

Please make sure your sheds, garages side gates are locked. Move your wheelie bins inside your property away from any side gate entry. Please don’t leave your property in darkness, leave a light on.

Ongoing patrols are continuing. Thank you to the residents who are helping Police with their investigations. If you see a vehicle in your area that you don’t recognise, parked up, please contact Police on 101 or use the West Midlands Police web site to log it. The location of new vehicle deposition sites are of interest to us.

OBERVATIONS.

If you see residents leaving their property on an unregistered scrambler moto cross petrol or electric motorbikes please email me or report it anonymously on Crime Stoppers on 0800 555111 as they are riding through local parks and Solihull Town Centre.

Please make sure your vehicles are locked. Solihull are being hit with theft from unlocked vehicles.

Please fit a steering lock as an extra layer of security to protect your keyless entry vehicle. Relay scanning devices are being used.

Please set your alarm if fitted. Leave lights on or use light timers. Never leave your house in darkness.

Please use anti-tamper screws available from most vehicle spares shops to secure your number plates securely to your vehicle.

Any images should be recorded onto a secure system and be held for a minimum of 31 days.

Ensure that all fences are the same height as smaller fencing abutting higher fencing acts as a potential climbing aid for offenders.

Ensure that all garden furniture is stored away in a garden shed along with any tools to avoid aiding offenders in committing burglary.

Ensure that Wheelie Bins are not stored near to fences and are chained together to prevent them from being used as climbing aids or storing objects in that may aid an offender to commit a crime.
