Day of action as Op Advance returns to Coventry |
||
|
Dear Resident, Our day of high-intensity policing is returning to Coventry today. Operation Advance will see teams from across the city and wider West Midlands take part in high-visibility patrols and targeted operations focusing on issues that matter to you. Our Coventry teams will be out and about alongside Force colleagues targeting priority crimes and areas of concern throughout the area. You'll see neighbourhood officers as well as specialist officers from our Traffic, Dogs and Mounted units. We'll also be working alongside our partners from the local authority and community, looking out for vehicle crime and road safety offences, and engaging with residents and visitors in the city. Chief Superintendent Paul Joyce, Coventry Police Commander, said: "Our teams have been busy planning for Op Advance and we should see some excellent high-impact results. "Although we're focusing our efforts on these priorities, we will still have officers carrying out their regular duties and keeping the public safe. "Operations like this rely on the public telling us where and when they see crime and anti-social behaviour happening. "This helps us plan our work and take direct action earlier across Coventry." Follow our social media channels and website to see what our teams are up to where you live.
