LEOS Neighbourhood Team – Weekly Update 10th July to 18th July
Welcome to this week’s crime and community update for the Silhill area. Our neighbourhood team remains committed to tackling key crime issues affecting residents. We also continue to engage with schools and local partners to provide early intervention and support.
Burglary
There were no reported Burglaries during this time period.
Please always remember remain vigilant and review your home security — consider alarms, CCTV, and good lighting.
Any Vehicle Crime
A Toyota CHR motor vehicle was stolen overnight from Seven Star Road.
Key-less entry theft remains a concern. Please use Faraday pouches, remove visible items, and consider physical deterrents like steering wheel locks.
Good news- Team Highlights
Police recovered a Mitsubishi Shogun which had no tax and had been suspected to be involved in crime in Beamans Close.
The team saw a White BMW parked up in Olton during routine patrols. A check of the vehicle by officers revealed that the VIN did not match the registration plates which were displayed on the vehicle. The true identity of the vehicle revealed that this was in fact a stolen vehicle. This was therefore recovered for forensic examination.
The team responded to a report from a member of the public regarding a vehicle that had been abandoned. Although checks did not show that this vehicle was stolen, it was involved in crime and had no tax, therefore the vehicle was recovered. This shows that we truly value reports from our community, please remain vigilant and always report any suspicious behaviour, it really does help us keep our community safe!
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and keep enjoying this glorious sunshine
