Weekly Updates!

Hello Resident,

It's been a busy week and we wanted to share a few updates with you. 

Vehicle Recoveries:

We successfully recovered a stolen car on 09/07/26 by St. Laurence Church in Northfield and a mini school bus from Nearhill Road in Kings Norton on 17/07/26. Both vehicles have been seized. Thank you to members of the public who provided information that helped us locate them. 

Community Festival 

We attended a Community Festival at St. Nicolas Church on 11/07/26. Our stall provided crime prevention advice and safety items, and a chance to engage with the community. It was great to meet so many of you and hear your concerns. Thank you to the organisers for inviting us. 

Speed Watch 

A community Speed Watch operation was conducted on 14/07/26 on Green Lane. Community Speed Watch is a police-supported initiative aimed at reducing vehicle speeds and improving road safety for all road users. 

School Visit

We made a school visit to Hawkesley Church Primary Academy on 14/07/26 on their funfair event. We engaged with pupils, parents/guardians and staff and handed out WMNow cards and provided them with crime prevention advice. It was brilliant to see so many young people engaged and asking questions. Thank you to Hawkesley Church Primary School for the warm welcome. 

Community Drop-In-Session

We held a community drop-in-session at The Sweet Project on 15/07/26. Residents were able to speak with us about local concerns, request crime prevention advice, and report issues directly. Thank you to everyone who attended. 

Fly-tipping

During patrols, fly-tipping was identified on Gildas Avenue and reported to local authority via Fix My Street for removal on 17/07/26. 

Community Engagement Meeting

We held a community meeting at Kings Norton Library on 18/07/26. It was a valuable opportunity to hear directly from residents about the issues that matter most to you. We discussed road safety, crime prevention, and ways we can work together to reduce anti-social behaviour. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed.
