Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team

This week Sutton Trinity has been focusing their attention on making sure that Sutton Coldfield Town Centre is a Safer Town Centre by increasing our patrols and targeting key individuals who may be causing harm to the local community.

✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅

Following the recent social media post of youths destroying the flowers in the town centre, we have been able to identify the individuals responsible and will be taking the appropriate action to make sure there is accountability for their actions.

With the increased presence within the Town on both early and late shifts Trinity officers have made a number of significant arrests of offenders who were wanted for a variety of offences. This included two males who were wanted for a number of shopliftings in both the West Midlands area and Staffordshire. Two males were also arrested for being wanted for recall to prison with one of which was arrested less than eight hours after he was put on a recall. Another individual who had been wanted for a number of months was located within the town centre and has been interviewed over an alleged sexual assault. 

A male who has been causing minor anti-social behaviour in the town has been served with a Community Protection Warning letter preventing him from entering Sutton Coldfield Town Centre. He was also dealt with for a theft that had occurred in one of the local shops.

Unrelated but still as part of the teams patrols, we encountered a male who had initially provided false details. Once his true identify was confirmed it showed that he was wanted for failing to attend court. During the arrest he was found to be in possession of a knife. He was charged with this offence and remained in custody to appear at court.

Officers have also acted upon information surrounding the illegal use of E-Scooters around the Falcon Lodge, and have seized one being ridden on the roads illegally. All information and intelligence is useful to the Sutton Trinity Team, no matter how small it may seem.

We will continue to patrol the town centre and work with the local community to make sure Sutton Coldfield is a safer place to be.

📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements 📅

Each month we hold a number of drop-in surgeries within the Town Centre and also have a walk and talk (Walkie Talkies) session in Sutton Park where local officers are available for members of the public to raise their concerns to the police. Our next Walkie Talkies will be held in Sutton Park on 13th August '26 at 1100hrs, meeting near to the Visitors Centre.
