Appeal for information for investigation into Stourbridge fires |
||
|
Dear Resident, We are appealing for information as part of our investigation into the fires in Stourbridge. A MIPP (Major Incident Public Portal) has been set up for people to provide any information they may have or any footage, which would help us establish how the fires started on Thursday. Assistant Chief Constable Rich North, from West Midlands Police, said: "Our thoughts are with the local community and all those affected at this time. "We are keeping an open mind into how the fires started and we are actively investigating. “At this stage, we are supporting our fire colleagues and would ask the public not to speculate on the cause of the fires. "We are continuing to work with West Midlands Fire Service and partners to support where we’re needed. We want to thank everyone for their continued support and patience.” We have officers supporting our fire colleagues with road closures and cordons. If you have any mobile phone footage of what happened or can provide any information, then please contact us. You can do this by calling 101 quoting 3046 of 13 August. You can also submit any photos or videos to our MIPP here - Public Portal | ||
