Neighbour Disputes |
||
|
We seem to have received an increase in neighbour disputes during the summer holidays. Ordinary disagreements about parking, boundaries, trees, children, etc are generally civil matters rather than police matters.
Noise/barking dogs should normally be reported to the local council as a nuisance issue.
Threats, intimidation, abusive behaviours, criminal damage or repeated targeted behaviour can become police matters.
If unwanted behaviour happens two or more times and causes distress or fear, it may potentially amount to harassment.
Keep a dated incident log, including witnesses, messages, photo's, videos and what was said or done.
If there is immediate threat or danger call 999. For none emergency police advice/reporting, use 101 or report online.
