What’s been happening?

This week has been a good week for arrests with 4 persons arrested during the set. Three of these arrests were on Friday with a male and female arrested for shoplifting offences and another female for failing to appear. Then on Sunday officers witnessed a male take part in a suspected drug deal. The officers stopped both males and searches were conducted which resulted in one male being arrested for possession with intent to supply. 

On Saturday two of our officers located a stolen vehicle whilst on patrol. The officers attended the vehicle which had been abandoned with the windows open and unlocked. Checks on the number plate showed that it did not match the vehicle identification number and so the officers conducted further checks on police systems which showed the vehicle was displaying a false number plate and was actually a vehicle stolen 2 days earlier from the Willenhall area of Coventry. 

A child involved in some antisocial behaviour which resulted in damage being caused to a building belonging to a company on the Swallow gate Business park has this week been identified. The incident which occurred in the summer holidays were investigated by our team using CCTV from the location. With the help of school staff once the new term started the offender was identified along with other members of the group who have been causing issues at the location for a few months. 

Crime Figures

There was Two reported vehicle offence in the past Nine Days on the Holbrooks Ward. There was a Theft of a motor vehicle that took place on Dunster Place and a Theft of a motor vehicle offence with a vehicle stolen on Masser Road.

There were No reported burglary offence in the past Nine Days on the Holbrooks Ward.

There were no other crimes of note.
