I hope this message finds you well. As we move through October, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

ASB on Erdington High Street

Speeding and Parking issues around Erdington Schools

Cars being driven dangerously in residential areas

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.

🤝 Partnership Working

We’ve been working closely with:

Trading Standards, to crack down on the sale of illegal tobacco and cigarettes

St Barnabas Church, with the launch of our Pop Up Police Station which will take place on the last Friday of the Month

Birmingham City Council around the local concerns for homelessness and begging.

These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs.

Trading Standards operations on Erdington High Street, we seized over £40,000 worth of illegal tobacco and cigarettes

Patrols tackling the parking issues on Erdington High Street

Vehicle seizures for those causing ASB

please remember Fireworks can be used in the UK any time from 7am to 11pm.

Exceptions are:

Bonfire night: 7am to midnight

New Year’s Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year: 7am to 1am the following day
